Koyar sarpanch dismissed for bungling

Karnal, Oct 18 (UNI) The sarpanch of Koyar village in the district has been dismissed for bungling the panchayat fund and misusing his position as sarpanch.

Following the submission of enquiry report by the SDM on July 30, sarpanch Rakam Singh was asked to explain his position on the charges established against him.

When he failed to clarify his position in writing, he was summoned in person in Deputy Commissioner's office on October 10 where, again he failed to explain or provide any proof of his innocence.

Deputy Commissioner B S Malik dismissed him under section 51(3) of Haryana Panchyati Raj Act.
