Inter-state robbers gang busted, kingpin among 9 held

Lucknow, Oct 18 (UNI) Nine members, including the kingpin, of an inter-state robbers gang were arrested and booty seized from them in Ghazipur area here today.

The arrested, identified as kingpin Mehraj Ansari, Dilip, Vaziram, Shri Ram, Rajendra Yadav, Zakir Ansari, Anand Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Gunna, hailed from Bihar's Moti Hari district, police said.

On interrogation, the accused confessed they did robbery in states other than Uttar Pradesh too.

Five cell phones, Rs 8,000 in cash and equipment used in robbery was seized from the spot.
