HPSEB chairman working as Congress agent, alleges BJP

Shimla, Oct 18 (UNI) Accusing Himachal Board of School Education chairman (HPSEB) B R Rahi of working as a Congress agent, the BJP today filed a complaint against him with the Chief Election Officer.

BJP state secretary H N Kashyap and BJP Mahila Morcha President Roopa Sharma, in a memorandum submitted to the chief election officer, alleged that Mr Rahi was misguiding the Election Commission on the issue of conducting of school examinations.

The Board had demanded postponement of assembly polls on the ground that the school examination would be held around the same time. The Congress had also urged the Commission to postpone the polls due to adverse weather conditions in December.

The BJP leaders alleged that the Education Board had issued the examination date sheets for the schools in previous dates after the elections were announced.
