Gold, silver closes higher on strong global advice

Mumbai, Oct 18: Spot Gold and silver today closed higher by Rs 80 per kg and Rs 30 per ten gm respectively from their last close on fresh seasonal demand from ornament makers along with bullish advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,435 (18,355) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,780 (9,750) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,830 (9,800).
