Four shot dead, three militants nabbed

Imphal, Oct 18 (UNI) Four persons were shot dead in separate incidents and three arrested in Manipur in the past 24 hours.

According to police three persons were shot dead today by suspected militants at Nungoi, Imphal East district.

In another incident a man was shot dead at Canchipur yesterday.

Police investigation into the incidents was on.

Meanwhile, three insurgents were nabbed yesterday by the Assam Rifles and handed over to police.

Incidentally, four ultras were gunned down yesterday by the police and Assam Rifles in separate incidents, the Assam Rifles said.
