Cricket betting racket busted in Northeast Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) With the arrest of three people from Northeast Delhi, police today claimed to have busted a cricket betting racket while bets on India Vs Australia one day match were being sought.

Mahender Babbar (46), Mahender Pratap (45) and Nitin (26) were arrested during a raid yesterday from Dilshad Colony.

Police recovered 11 mobile phones, one laptop, one CTV, five mobile chargers, pen, paper and slips for betting worth Rs 36.82 lakh.

During interrogation they revealed that they were involved in cricket betting for the past two-and-a-half months and had organised betting on all India vs Australia matches in T-20 series and the current series.

Further investigation were on.
