Children from J&K visit Chandigarh under Op Sadbhavna

Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) As part of the ongoing effort of the Indian Army to enhance army-civil co-operation under 'Op Sadbhavna', 35 children, including girl students, from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir visited the Chandimandir Military Station today.

The students met Station Commander Brig N K Mishra, who had invited them and shared their experiences with him. The tour is organised to give the students an opportunity to visit other parts of the country.

Accompanied by four teachers, these young children have been in the city for the last three days. The children visited the Rock Garden, Art Museum, Botanical Garden and other landmarks of the city.

The children had already visited the Golden Temple at Amritsar besides witnessing the breathtaking ceremony of 'The Retreat' at the Attari Border. They also visited Jalian Wala Bagh and other places of religious and historic importance at Amritsar. They would be returning to Jammu after visiting Bhakhra Dam.
