AP Governor, CM greet people on Dussera

Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Dussera.

In his message the Governor said "Dussera Festival signified the triumph of good over the forces of evil. Our festivals are reminders of the need for self-discipline in our daily life.

"Let us take a solemn pledge on this auspicious occasion to follow the path of rectitude and truth and strive for amity, social harmony and understanding among all communities and groups." The Chief Minister said "Dussera is a very important festival for Telugu people who have been celebrating it for many generations.

"It is a symbol of victory over evil and it creates spiritual awareness," Dr Reddy said.
