Actor Akshay Kumar summoned in court
Bareilly, Oct 18 (UNI) A local court today issued notices to Akshay, Kumar, film director Priyadarshan and five others after a Hindu leader Mahendra Agarwal filed a case against his song-and-dance sequence in the just-released Hindi film 'Bhool Bhulaiya'.
Mr Agarwal contended, that the film showed Akshay surrounded by semi-clad women dancers in an ''obscence'' 'Hare Ram Hare Ram' song-and-dance sequence, wearing a saffron apparel carrying sacred Hindu symbols.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Reeta Kaushik issued notices to seven persons, including Akshay, the film's producer Bhushan Kumar, Priyadarshn and the owner of T-Series Kishan Kumar.
They have been directed to appear before the court in 10 days.
The complainant has demanded immediate ban on the film.
