Two held with fake currency in Katra
Jammu, Oct 17: Two people were arrested along with fake currency in the holy town of Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said today.
Katra police arresdted the duo while frisking after finding them moving suspiciously. Fake currency worth Rs 25,000 was recovered from them.
''Fifty notes of Rs 500 denomination were recovered from them, which they were about to use in the market,'' sources said.
However, investigations were on.
Meanwhile, the area has been placed under thick security cover as it was experiencing a huge rush of devotees due to the ongoing Navratra festival.
