Sethi appointed as new GOC 101 Area

Shillong, Oct 17 (UNI) Major General Kulwinder Singh Sethi has taken over as the new General Officer Commanding of 101 Area from Major General Vinod Nayanar, an official statement said today.

Major General Sethi was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in March 1972 and participated in ''Operation Vijay'' and ''Operation Parakram''.

He is also a graduate of Long Gunnery Staff Course and Defence Services Staff Course.

His rich and varied experience, having served in field areas, Line of Control environment and in counter-insurgency operations, will serve as the cornerstone of his tenure as the GOC of 101 Area.
