Scribes file FIR against ex union minister guard

Shillong, Oct 17 (UNI) Three Meghalaya based journalists have lodged an FIR against former Union Minister Matang Singh's security guard for assaulting them late last night.

The scribes- Refulgent Kharnaior, David Laitphlang and Raju Das - were assaulted on their way home by the security guard, identified as C.V.Pundir of Central Reserve Police Force.

In an emergent meeting, the Shillong Press Club took strong exception over the incident and demanded an unconditional apology with an assurance that such insolent behavior will not be repeated.
