Kolkata, Oct 17 (UNI) Left Front Chairman Biman Bose today asked Front partners to 'expose' the opposition's attempt to create a conspiracy regarding the state's Public Distribution System(PDS).

Talking to newspersons he alleged that the opposition parties had spread a web of conspiracy to create disturbances in the state regarding the rationing system.

''We have urged all the Front partners to organise meetings in each district to expose the opposition's conspiracy as well as provide assistance to the administration in normalising the situation,'' Mr Bose said after a Left Front meeting here.

The administration should call an all party meeting to ensure normalisation of the rationing system, he added.

He said Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had said in the meeting that he had already taken action against some corrupt ration dealers.

The Front also urged the government to supply more items in the PDS to normalise the situation, he said.

Mr Bhattacharjee had said in the meeting that against the state's demand of 1.25 lakh metric tonnes of rice, the Centre sent only 7700 metric tonnes.

The chief minister had already written to the Centre to despatch more items.

Referring to the price hike, Mr Bose said the partners' should be alert against artifical price rise.
