Nitish advocates for scheduled caste status to minority dalits
Patna,Oct 17 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today advocated for according scheduled caste status to the muslim dalits.
Addressing a gathering at a public function organised by the Indian United Muslims Front, Mr Kumar recommended for wider unity among all castes, saying their strength could be utilised in case the muslim dalits were given a scheduled caste status.
He said the technological advancement was playing a vital role in connecting the entire world and the dreams of development could be actually fulfilled once the dalits of all religions were brought to the mainstream of life.
Later, addressing a concluding function organised to impart training to the selected officers through 48th joint examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Mr Kumar reiterated his committments to providing quality based life to the people living at the last leg of the society and exhorted the officials to cooperate in the mission.
He maintained the officers were an important factor in the governmental machinery as successful implementation of the developmental schemes depends on their commitment level.
