Gowing tributes paid to Justice Sarkaria at Antim Ardas

Chandigarh, Oct 17 (UNI) Gowing tributes were paid to Justice R.S. Sarkaria at the Antim Ardas function held at sector 8 Gurdwara here today.

Political leaders, legal luminaries, serving and retired judges of Supreme Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court, senior civil and public officers from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and senior defence officers from Western Command assembled to pay their last tributes to the constitutional expert Justice Sarkaria who rewrote the chapter of Centre-State relations.

Dr Upinderjit Kaur, Education Minister, Punjab representing the Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal recalled the historical contribution of Justice Sarkaria in legal field.

Among others who were present on the occasion were Union Minister of State for Finance Pawan Bansal, Public Works Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa and parliamentarians Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Tarlochan Singh.
