Demand for JPC probe not relevant outside Parliament: Cong

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) The Congress today ridiculed the BJP for demanding a JPC probe into the 'Sensex blood bath'', and said such a demand was not relevant outside Parliament.

''The demand for a JPC probe was not relevant outside Parliament,'' Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed told reporters here.

He said the Sensex had initially gone down, but improved again.

Earlier, the BJP said the Government had triggered extreme volatility in the Capital Market by making unwarranted utterances causing undue losses of crores of rupees to the small investors, and the JPC should find out who benefited from the short selling during the fall.
