BJP for relief in basic amenities to urban people

Moga, Oct 17 (UNI) Punjab BJP president Rajinder Bhandari said the party was determined to fulfil its election manifesto promises to the urban people by providing relief in water supply, sewerage, house tax and also in power hike.

While stating this here last night, Mr Bhandari made it clear that BJP was not opposing such facilities to the farmers and rural people but at the same BJP would not tolerate denying such facilities to the urban people.

Mr Bhandari on hike in power tariff said that there will be no compromise over the issue and BJP was pressing upon the state government and opposing the hike.

He said in this respect BJP ministers already had two meetings with the Chief Minister and third meeting was expected within next few days and he hoped some amicable solution of the issue.
