AIADMK activists celebrate 36th foundation day

Puducherry, Oct 17 (UNI) The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) activists today celebrated the 36th foundation day of the party here today.

Party volunteers, led by State Secretary A Anbazhagan MLA, garlanded the statue of the party-founder and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M G Ramachandran at the party head quarters, hoisted the party flag and distributed sweets to mark the occasion.

At a function organised at the party head quarters, Mr Anbazhagan disributed sarees, household utensils, iron boxes, sewing machines and push-carts to 1,000 people. He also handed over Rs one lakh as solatium to the family of a party worker Jayapal, who met with an accidental death recently.

AIADMK flags were hoisted at different villages in the Union Territory to mark the occasion.
