Actor Chiranjivi's daughter marries against family wishes

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) After escaping from the 'house arrest', Tollywood star Padmavibhushan Chiranjivi's second daughter Srija today married her lover Sirish Bharadwaj at Arya Samaj Matham in the city.

Speaking to newspersons here after getting married to her boy friend, Ms Srija said they were in love for the last four years.

She alleged that her parents had house arrested her for the past one year after they came to know her love affair with Bharadwaj.

''They stopped me from attending the college for the last one year'', she added.

Stating that their parents were opposed to their engagement, she said ''we need protection from the police and media to face the threat from my family''.

We will seek the blessings of my family in the evening, she added.

Mr Bharadwaj said ''Ours is an inter-caste marriage. We faced threat from Srija's family. We need protection immediately. My parents also needed protection, as his 'in-laws' were more influential and strong in the state. We both are majors'', he added.
