Woman commits suicide in Rajkot

Rajkot, Oct 16 (UNI) A 30-year-old woman today committed suicide by jumping into the Aaji river from Kaisrehind bridge here.

The woman, identified as Jaishri, was mother of two children.

Before jumping into the river, she threw her two children -- Liza (7) and son Maulik (2) into a farm well at Popatpara area, police sources said.

However, Liza was rescued, but Maulik drowned whose body was later recovered from the well, sources said.

A family feud was said to be the cause of suicide.

The woman's husband, Rajubhai Pasana, is a businessman, sources added.
