Woman booked for attempt to committ suicide

Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 16 (UNI) The Sirhind police has registered a case against a woman for her alleged attempt to commit suicide.

The case was registered against Balwinder Kaur, a resident of village Gadhera, under section 309 of the IPC on the statement of an ASI Nasib Singh.

As per the ASI, the woman tried to commit suicide by jumping in Narwana Canal.

However, she was rescued and admitted to Civil Hosptial, Fatehgarh Sahib.
