Top amateurs for LG Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf

Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) Leading amateur golfers will be seen in action at the LG Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship which tees off at the par-72 Chandigarh Golf Club here tomorrow.

The tournament will witness the likes of Simarjeet Singh, Jasjeet Singh, Gagan Verma, HS Kang, Vikram Rana, Saurabh Bahuguna and Manav Das among other top amateurs vying for supremacy. Leading the field will be No.2 ranked amateur Abhishek Jha, who clinched the LG Northern India Amateur Golf Championship in August.

Three-time Sri Lankan Amateur champion and No. 1 ranked amateur Simarjeet Singh will also provide stiff challenge to the young guns.

No. 7 ranked amateur Manav Das will be one player to watch out for in the tournament. Das won the LG Noida Open Amateur and finished second at the LG Jaypee Amateur and looks all set to add another title this season.

Among the juniors, local lad K Raghav Bhandari and Kapurthala's Ashbeer Saini are the golfers to watch for at the championship.
