Three militants killed at Gool

Jammu, Oct 16 (UNI) Three militants of Pakistan-based outfit Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed today in a gunbattle in Ramban district, official sources said here.

Acting on a tip-off, the troops of 61 Rastriya Rifles and district police cordoned off the specific area and launched a search operation at Lancha of Gool tehsil, the sources said.

During the search operation, an encounter took place in which three Lashkar militants were shot dead, the sources said.

The operation was still on.

The slain militants have been identified as Noor Hussain, Rafeeq and Liyaqat.

Two AK rifles, five magazines, 17 rounds, four hand grenades and two radio sets were recovered from their possession.
