Three get lifer in hotelier's murder case

Pune, Oct 16 (UNI) Six years after the sensational murder of Narayangaon hotelier and owner of the first dance bar in the city, Chandrakant Laxman Khaire (53), Principal District and Sessions judge Cheema sentenced three assailants to life imprisonment besides slapping a fine of Rs 2 lakh each.

The judge also announced a compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh to the victim's wife Leela.

Khaire was kidnapped from Chakan on July 8, 2001. He was stabbed and his headless body was recovered from the Pavana river.
