TCS to hire 35,000 employees

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services has said it will hire 35,000 employees in the year ending March 31, 2008.

The Mumbai-based company has made 22,000 job offers in the year starting April 1 this year, executive vice president S Padmanabhan told reporters here today.

TCS expects about 93 per cent of those offers to be accepted, he said.

The software exporter expects 9,000 people to join the company in the next three months ending December 31. About 12,523 people were recruited in the quarter ended September 30.
