SP makes light of Mayawati in American mag list

Lucknow, Oct 16 (UNI) The principal opposition Samajwadi Party today made light of Uttar Pradesh chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati figuring in the latest edition of popular American magazine Newsweek among eight women in leadership position around the world.

SP alleged that Ms Mayawati had presented a hefty amount to the magazine and demanded a probe in this regard.

Addressing a news conference here this evening, party's state spokesperson Rajendra Singh Chaudhary noted that the American magazine had overlooked Ms Mayawati's ''anti-people'' works and selected her in the list.
