PLA militants arrested in Meghalaya

Shillong, Oct 16 (UNI) Meghalaya police have arrested three ultras of Manipur-based People's Liberation Army (PLA) from city-based hotel here on Sunday, police said today.

The three cadres were identified as Jhokchan Ratan Singh, Sushil Ningthoujam and Alam Naba Chandra Singh.

However, police did not recover any arms or ammunition from their possession.

Police said the PLA cadres were in the city to cross-over to Bangladesh via Meghalaya.

Meanwhile, the court has remanded the trio to police custody for further interrogation.
