One detained for creating nuisance in High Court

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) A middle-aged person was detained by the police today when he tried to create nuisance in a courtroom in the Bombay High Court.

In the afternoon when the single-judge bench of Justice A P Deshpande was hearing matters, an unknown person attempted to reach the dias of the court, those present in the court said.

He allegedly threw a plastic bag, he had carried with him, towards the Judge. A Court staff pulled him out to hand him over to the High Court police chowky.

Sources informed that the person was not a litigant before the court and was apparently mentally unstable. The police refused to divulge his name and said the man had not been arrested but detained.
