Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi today urged Governor Balram Jakhar to have a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry conducted into an alleged dumper scam.

The Congress tribal leader handed over a letter in this regard to Dr Jakhar.

''A case should be registered against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his wife Sadhana Singh and J P Associates -- under the Prevention of Corruption Act -- and the matter handed over to CBI. A complaint has been made to the Lokayukt but the Lokayukt Special Police Establishment is under the state government. The investigation might be affected as the Lokayukt is on long leave,'' she said.

Referring to the Vineet Narayan case, Ms Devi said that the Governor could recommend a CBI probe into corruption-linked complaints against the Chief Minister.

The Governor assured that he would study the case and take appropriate action. Ms Singh allegedly hired out, to J P Associates, four dumpers that were purchased by furnishing a fake address.
