Bangalore, Oct 16 (UNI) The Janata Dal (S) Legislature Party (JDSLP), after its two-day ''brain storming'' session, today unanimously authorised party leaders H D Kumaraswamy, M P Prakash and state Unit President Merajuddin Patel to decide the future course of action.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Prakash said the meeting, which concluded this afternoon, discussed at length about the ''political situation'' in the state under President's rule and the Assembly under suspended animation.

''The legislators expressed their opinion freely and authorised us to take the final decision, whether to go in for a mid-term polls or to find avenues to form an alternate government,'' he said.

The views expressed by the legislators would be communicated to party supremo H D Deve Gowda, Mr Prakash said.

Terming as ''rumours'' the reports of rebellion among the legislators, who were ''dead against'' the decision to go in for polls, Mr Prakash asserted that all the partymen rallied behind former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and pledged to abide by the party's decision.

He also scotched rumours that he had convened a meeting of ''disgruntled'' legislators, who were in favour of forming a government with either the Congress or the BJP.

Mr Kumaraswamy had convened a two-day meeting in a resort on the outskirts of the city to chalk out the future course of action.

He was reportedly confronted by the legislators, who were against the party going in for the mid-term polls.

However, Mr Gowda was against the party having a tie-up with either the Congress or the BJP and had said he preferred to face fresh polls.
