Intruder at Jaya's residence creates flutter

Chennai, Oct 16 (UNI) A middle aged man managed to intrude into the Poes Garden Residence of AIADMK Supremo and former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, breaching security here today.

Police told UNI that the identity of the person was yet to be ascertained.

The security personnel posted at the residence of Ms Jayalalithaa, who was under Z Plus security category, spotted him and handed him over to the Teynampet police.

Police quoting preliminary investigation said the person was said to be mentally unsound.

Seeing it as a sensitive incident, the AIADMK MLAs' led by Former Chief Minister and Deputy Leader in the State Assembly O Panneerselvam and V P Kalairajan lodged a complaint with the Chennai City Police Commissioner G Nanjil Kumaran and Director General of Police P Rajendran in this regard.
