IDBI Q2 net at Rs 155 crore

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Industrial Development Bank of India Ltd (IDBI) today posted a net profit of Rs 155.50 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 139.40 crore during the same period last year.

The erstwhile United Western Bank Ltd (UWB) was amalgamated with IDBI with effect from October 3, 2006, hence the results for the quarter are not comparable with the corresponding quarter last year, the bank said in a statement.

Its total income was Rs 2,363.72 crore during the quarter in comparison to Rs 1,641.24 crore during the same period a year ago.
