Gold closes at 18 month high of Rs 9,765

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Pure Gold today closed at a 18 month high at Rs 9,765 per ten gm with a gain of Rs 65 from its last close on lack of offers by stockists in view of strong advice from global, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

But Silver ended low at Rs 18,470 per kg with a big loss of Rs 65 on thin industrial users demand, traders added.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,470 (18,535) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,715 (9,650) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,765 (9,700).
