Goa to finalise XI Plan document with Planning Commission

Panaji, Oct 16 (UNI) The Goa government will initiate discussions with the Planning Commission of India (PCI) for finalising the state's XIth Five Year Plan and its 2007-08 annual plan in New Delhi on October 23.

As a prelude to this exercise, chief secretary J P Singh today reviewed both the draft plans at a meeting he had with all heads of departments at the Porvorim secretariat complex.

Assisted by finance secretary Ramesh Negi, the chief secretary had also reviewed the 'action taken' report on the basis of the observations/suggestions made by the PCI working group in February last year for finalising the annual plan.
