Global Edge girds up for next phase of growth

Bangalore, Oct 16 (UNI) US-based Global Edge Software, an embedded software solutions provider for the global communication, automotive and consumer electronic Industries, was positioning itself as a natural partner to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Electronics Manufacturing Services(EMS) by providing holistic end-to-end product realisation capability in selected Industry segments.

Talking to newspersons here today, Global Edge CEO and Chairman M P Kumar said, of late, EMS companies were trying to turn into OEMs and hence there was a need to design according to needs of the consumers.

Mr Kumar said the company established in 1992, had witnessed 70 per cent growth year-on-year. ''With our top notch talent, the strategic initiatives being planned and with our strong execution focus, we are well positioned to become a leading player in the embedded solutions space,'' he added.

Company President and COO Sarbpreet Singh said on the sales front the plans included opening new offices and augmenting channel partners. The company had two offices in US at Santa Clara and Boston at present and it was proposed to open another office in Europe, Mr Singh added.
