Emblem: MPHC notice to Centre

Jabalpur, Oct 16 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to the Centre on the National Emblem being used against the rules.

During yesterday's preliminary hearing of a public interest plea by non-resident Indian Ramesh Gathoriya, justices Deepak Verma and K S Chouhan issued the notice.

''The Ashok Chakra is being wrongly used on documents utilised by the Prime Minister's Office, chief ministers, embassies, Madhya Pradesh High Court and Supreme Court. My client also wrote to then President A P J Abdul Kalam in this regard,'' submitted petitioner's counsel Rajendra Gupta.
