Electronic Voting Machines mandatory in Guj elections

Ahmedabad, Oct 16 (UNI) The Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat today announced polling through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was mandatory for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat, scheduled to be held on December 11 and 16.

A release by the state Chief Electoral Officer here said of the total 182 Assembly constituencies, 87 constituencies of 14 districts and 95 Assembly constituencies of 11 districts will go to the polls on December 11 and 16 respectively.
