CII seminar to focus on India-Africa business partnership

Kochi, Oct 16 (UNI) The CII will organise a seminar here on October 22 on "India Africa Project Partnership: Showcasing Opportunities," to create awareness on the emerging business opportunities in Africa.

According to a CII release here today, heads of select African missions and economic counsellors, representatives of investment promotion authorities and the East African Union would attend the meet.

Besides spotting investment opportunities in a plethora of fields, the seminar would also focus on the legal procedures involved in setting up joint ventures and businesses in African countries, it said.

Among the key areas of focus would be agriculture, railways, agro-processing, construction, consultancy, minerals, transport infrastructure, power and non-conventional energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, institutional capacity building, information and communication technology, iron and steel, education and skill development, water and sanitation, housing, oil and gas, turnkey manufacturing projects, tourism, SMEs, biotechnology, and fast moving consumer goods.
