Assam poetess, Kerala filmmaker chosen for Sanskrit awards

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) A young poetess from Assam,an Odissi exponent and a Kerala filmmaker have been chosen for the 28th edition of the Sanskriti awards announced today.

Among those chosen for the awards, to be presented on November 2, are Assamese poetess Jyotshna Kalita for Literature, Tehelka Kerala for Correspondent K A Shaji for Journalism, painter from Kerala K P Reji for Art, Odissi dancer Bijayini Satpathy for Performing Arts and Kerela-based filmmaker Vipin Vijay for Cultural Achievement.

The awards, presented to young talents in fields of literature, Journalism, art, performing arts and cultural achievement, will be presented, by the Magsaysay Award winner and Rural Affairs Editor of 'The Hindu' P Sainath.
