Witness accuses D P Yadav of threat and harassement

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI)Ajay Katara, a key witness in the Nitish Katara murder case, today filed an application in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur saying he is being threatened and harassed by former MP and politician D P Yadav.

According to the prosecution, Ajay had seen the two accused brothers Vikas and Vishal, with the deceased on the intervening night of February 16 and 17, 2002 when he was kidnapped and later killed.

As the witness had testified against the accused, D P Yadav was furious and threatened him with dire consequences, the applicant said.

On hearing the application, the judge directed the DIG Meerut Zone to make necessary investigaton in the allegation levelled by the witness.
