Rules on entry of goods into Local Areas Fund in force

Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) The state government has notified the UP tax on entry of goods into Local Areas Fund, Rules 2007.

The rules have come into force at once.

According to trade tax minister Nakul Dubey, a committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary has been constituted, which will determine the items and criteria for utilisation of the amount in the fund.

The committee will monitor the physical and financial progress of the allocated items/works.

Entry tax will be levied under the provisions of the UP Tax on entry of goods into Local Areas Ordinance 2007 (UP ordinance No.35 of 2007), the proceeds of which will be deposited as per the procedure outlined in the rules.
