Retrenched Polysteel workers demand restoration of jobs

Hisar, Oct 15 (UNI) Over 300 retrenched employees of Polysteel Haryana Concost have urged Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda to reconsider their request for restoration of their jobs.

Spokesperson of workers' union Ishwar Singh Grewal said here today that the government had taken back almost all the retrenched employees of other companies in different departments except the workers of Polysteel Hisar.

The plant was closed nine years back and the property worth about Rs 50 crore was lying waste, he added.

''If the government has decided for its permanent closure then the ousted employees must be adjusted in other departments,'' he said adding that the union would soon meet the chief minister to press for their demand.
