K'taka Governor fets Pachauri on selected for Nobel Peace Prize

Bangalore, Oct 15 (UNI) Karnataka governor Rameshwar Thakur today congratulated Mr Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman of intergovernmental panel of Climate Change, on being selected for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

"I congratulate you on being selected for Nobel peace prize for your work on global warming along with former Vice-President of the US, Mr Al Gore," he said in a statement here today.

The award was undoubtedly a coveted prize so well deserved and it brings great honour to the scientific community in particular and our country as a whole, the governor added.
