Chandigarh, Oct 15 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has invited leading US companies to invest in Haryana, projecting the state as the best destination for investment in India.
''Haryana is the best destination for investment because of its proximity to the national capital and the facilities being provided to the entrepreneurs by the state government,'' Mr Hooda said while addressing the US entrepreneurs at a Meeting and Interactive Session held at Buena Park, California.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana had planned to provide world class infrastructure for attracting the foreign investors for setting up their industrial ventures in the state, an official press release here said.
He said the concept of Industrial Model Townships (IMT) was being replicated with the creation of four more IMTs, out of which three would be in National Capital Region (NCR), to provide the best infrastructure for the industries.
He said the state government had planned to create three more industrial hubs like Gurgoan equipped with ultra modern facilities for the entrepreneurs.
The meeting was organised by Dr Fresh, a leading company in America. The company is setting up a Special Economic Zone in Haryana. The presence of Indo American Society in the meeting was significant as the people of California attached remarkable importance to Mr Hooda's visit.
Earlier Mr P K Chaudhary, Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Industries) gave a detailed presentation before the delegates about the opportunities available in Haryana for the foreign investors.
The meeting was attended by a large number of eminent persons hailing from the state of California. Those who participated included representatives from leading companies like Merrill Lynch, Forrec, Callison, DLA PIPER, OPTIMOS, USABF, MSN Solutions, Amritt Ventures Inc, Prego, Asap, La millennium, Macroscopic Market Resourcing and PSAV and many others.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister was given the fellowship by Buena Park Mayor Steve Berry for the services which he rendered for Haryana.
