GU, MU emerge champions in All India Inter University Archery

Chandigarh, Oct 15 (UNI) Gujrat University, Ahmedamad and Manipur University, Canchipur today emerged overall champions in men and women category respectively in the All India Inter University Archery (Indian Round) Competitions organised by the Punjab University here.

In the men category, Gujarat University won the championship by 1819 points while in women, Manipur University won by 1764 points.

In men, host Punjab University stood second while SGB Amravati University, Amravati held third position. In women, Punjab University and Ranchi University, Ranchi held second and third position respectively.

Meanwhile, in indidividual all round performance (Men), Ramanbhai and Bhail Gharkiyabhai of Gujrat University held first and second positions while Gurpreet Singh of GNDU Amritsar stood third.

In individual all round (Women), Gitanjali and Th Ishembi Devi of Manipur University were declared first and second respectively while Monika Rinwa of Punjab University held third position.
