CPI stage demo to contain degue fever
Puducherry, Oct 15 (UNI) The Communist Party of India staged a demonstration in front of the Ariyankuppam commune panchayat today to press their demands.
They were demanding, among other things, immediate action by the government to contain the spread of Dengu fever in the area and steps to remove the prevailing unhygenic condition at Ariyankuppam.
Party state secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, executive committee member V S Abishegam, state secretary National Federation of Indian Women P Sarala, were among those, who participated in the agitation.
Meanwhile, members of the Puducherry private milk producers welfare association held a demonstration before the Veterinary hospital here demanding supply of subsidised fodder through PASIC and providing milch animals to the genuine milk producers, among other things.
