BSP's Ambed Rajan takes oath as Rajya Sabha member

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Ambed Rajan of the BSP today took oath as Rajya Sabha Member from Uttar Pradesh.

Mr Rajan, a close confidant of party supremo Mayawati, was elected unopposed from the state on the seat vacated by her after she assumed chiefministership a few months ago.

Hailing from Magapattinam district of Tamil Nadu, Mr Rajan is an old activist of the party, and is its national treasurer.
