West Bengal celebrates eid with fanfare

Kolkata, Oct 14 (UNI) Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in West Bengal with traditional fervour today.

People greeted each other and wore new clothes to mark the day.

It also marked the end of a month long fasting during 'Ramzan' for the Muslims and was celebrated with due solemnity and religious fervour.

Muslims gathered in large numbers and offered prayers at the various mosques and edgahs and exchanged greetings.
