Rewards handed over to surrendered Naxals

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 14 (UNI) The district administration today distributed rewards to the tune of Rs 8.70 lakh to 14 surrendered Naxalites.

At a special function here, district Superintendent of Police Vineet Brijlal distributed the rewards.

Surrendered Naxal Ch Lingamma alias Kranti received the highest reward amount of Rs 2.80 lakh, followed by K Venkata Rao alias Zaheer (Rs two lakh).

The official appealed to the Naxals to join the mainstream of society and assured them that the Government would rehabilitate the surrendered Naxals.
