Nagaland celebrates Eid
Kohima, Oct 14: The entire state of Nagaland today celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr along with their Muslim brothers. The traditional Namaz and other rituals were held with pomp and fervour in all the mosques and Idgahs of the state.
The main function was held at the Kohima Assam Rifles Ground where over 5,000 devotees read their Eid Namaz, administered by Maulana Badrudduja Qasimi, Pesh Imam, Jami Mosjid.
After the prayers, they exchanged greetings and presentations. Similar Eid celebrations were also reported from Dimapur, Wokha, Phek, Tseminyu and other parts of the state. No untoward incident was reported from any part of the state so far, official sources said.
